Aija Andrejeva was born on January 16, 1986 in Ogre, and was formerly known under the pseudonym Aisha. She is a Latvian singer and musical theater actress. Aija’s father Alex (Olegs Andrejevs) was the lead singer of the rock band Opus Pro. The singer gained wider recognition after winning TV5’s ‘The Factory Musical Theater’. She participated three times in the Eurovision national selection ‘Eirodziesma’. In the 2010 ‘Eirodziesma’ with the song ‘What For?’, Aisha won and participated in the international Eurovision Song Contest, where she placed last in the first semifinal and did not qualify for the final..
